Recently in past few years there has been a huge spike in terms of internet users in Pakistan, I do not have the figures to throw here but it must be exponential growth. I still remeber Digicom Dialup ISP back in old days when a guy came to my house and charged me Rs. 500 just for putting TCP/IP Setting in my Windows 95 machine!!
The more people come online the more they are interested in making money once they are done with surfing news, entertainment, games websites.. there are plenty of scams online and offline going on, get rich quick kind of schemes. Recently I was informed about a company who charges Rs. 500/- for training you and they say that you can earn upto 15,000 sitting at your home and spending only few hours on internet, let me break you heart by say this is “another scam” well not exactly a scam they show you high hopes and keep you away from harsh reality of making money online. Here is how it goes and what they tell you to do..
They setup a Blog for you on a Blogspot or Blogger or any free blog-hosting service which allows Google Adsense program. (btw Google Adsense is for webmasters who wish to make money by placing advertisements on their website) Once your Blog is setup they teach you how to Signup for Google Adsense and show you how to place ads on your website powered by free blog hosting companies.
Here is the trickiest part!
You only make money when someone clicks on your ads but Google strictly says that you-yourself cannot click on your website ads, as it violates their terms & conditions which can lead to your account termination… but what they do is create a new Yahoo Chat Account by the name of your memebrshipid or something, and once you sign-in to Yahoo Chat there are other people like you already added to your list who have paid Rs. 500/- for such training.. and everyone is instructed that visit other members sites and click on ads once or twice in a day, deliberately. So Tom, Dick and Harry all paid Rs. 500/- and have signuped. Tom clicks on Harrys google blog ads, Harry clicks on Dicks ads.. and vice versa. Bottom line is that everyone makes money but the question is.. Is it legal? NO WAY! you are deliberately clicking on the ads with no interest in the advertisement or the product’s of the advertiser.
It looks very ideal scenario where you have 300-400 members in your yahoo chat and average 100 clicks per day which can easily make you 200 – 350$ per month.. but Google is not sleeping guys!! they detect fraud clicks, terminate accounts which are involved in such activities.. and worst of all when a level will arise of invalid / fraud accounts from Pakistan they will ultimately stop their AdSense program for Pakistan… so just because of few jerks the whole nation has to suffer.
